2013 Drum Corps International

Below is a map which was requested from a friend who marched with the Madison Scouts in 2012 and 2013. For more information about Drum Corps International visit DCI.org

Poster text: World class drum corps perform across the nation under the jurisdiction of Drum Corps International (DCI). Practicing many hours a day and performing in hot temperatures can take a large toll on the members of each corps. Average temperature from each city on the day of the performance has been interpolated to show where it was warm or cool over the course of the tour schedule. Graduated points show how many drum corps were at each performance location with San Antonio, TX, Atlanta, GA, and Allentown, PA hosting all 22 drum corps. All of the drum corps finished their seasons in Indianapolis, IN.

Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with Drum Corps International, DCI, or any of their partner organizations. This map was created with data which is publicly available at DCI.org.

Cahokia: A Mound Society

This project was completed for a Geography 322: Natives Geographies offered at UWEC. We selected Cahokia because of how large of a civilization it was and because of the shear number of mounds constructed at the site. We provide a brief overview of the society and focus in on two mounds in particular; Monks Mound and Mound 72. To fully appreciate the poster in full detail make sure you download the full resolution size pdf.

Now included below the poster are the presentation slides created for this project.
